Meet Our Chef – Rose

Behind every dish at Karachi Prep is Chef Rose, the heart and soul of our kitchen.

Born in Pakistan and raised in Dubai, Rose grew up surrounded by the aromas of traditional Pakistani cooking. Her earliest inspiration came from her father – they started cooking together at a very young age, creating dishes that are still family favourites today, like lamb biryani, aloo gosht, shami kebabs, and kheer.

When Rose moved to the US in 2013, she quickly realized how difficult it was to find authentic Pakistani food that captured the same warmth and flavour she grew up with. That realization fueled her passion to cook more – first for family, then for friends, and soon for the wider community.

For the past four years, Rose has been catering to friends and local events, eventually joining an online food delivery service to share her food with even more people. As a mother to a self-proclaimed “foodie and critic,” she’s constantly inspired to explore beyond Pakistani cuisine, experimenting with Chinese, Italian, Mediterranean dishes, and even baking sweet treats. Her son’s honest feedback and love for food drive her to keep doing good, better, and best – always.
